Je tiens à envoyer mes sympathies à la famille et aux amis du sergent John Faught du 1er bataillon de Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry à Edmonton. M. Faught, qui avait 44 ans, a été tué samedi par un engin explosif artisanal en patrouillant dans le sud de l’Afghanistan.
Sergent Faught, qui était originaire de Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario), vivait sa troisième période de service en Afghanistan. Le désir qu’avait le soldat vétéran de servir son pays a inspiré ses proches et ceux-ci se souviendront de lui comme étant une figure paternelle et un dirigeant de première ligne.
J’envoie mes prières à la famille Faught et à tous hommes et femmes qui continuent de servir fièrement notre pays.
