Le chef du NPD, Jagmeet Singh, a fait la déclaration suivante :

On behalf of all New Democrats, I would like to wish all of those celebrating a happy first night of Hanukkah.

This past year has been a difficult one filled with uncertainty. Canadians have made big sacrifices to keep each other safe by staying at home and not seeing friends and family members as much as they would like.

The next eight days offer an opportunity to come together with loved ones and celebrate everything we have to be thankful for. Today, we take time to honour and celebrate the contributions of Jewish Canadians to our country. The festival of lights is a time to honour the accomplishments of all those who came before, and refocus on the challenges we still have to overcome.
